I Want a Featured Blog on Active Rain!

I'm a big believer in the power of positive thought.  And I believe that to achieve a goal you need to be willing to shout it from a mountain top. This week I have chosen AR to be my mountain top.  I would like to have a featured blog on AR, so this week I'm going to put it out there.  I am going to get a featured blog!

Everyday I am going to conduct my business happy in the knowledge that soon I am going to have a featured blog on AR. I am going to think positively about having a featured blog on AR as often as I can. And I am going to continue writing blogs anxious to see which one will be chosen to be a featured blog.

I send out a challenge to all of you.  What would you like to manifest in your life this week?  Feel free to shout it out here and then let me know when it shows up in your life.  I'll let you know when I get a featured blog!

C'mon what have you got to lose?  What do you stand to gain?

I'd love to write a post good enough to be featured too. This week, though, I;ll settle for a new UC property!

I would love to have another feathured blog! I am still a newbie and the second blog I ever wrote was actually featured for some odd reason. I think they put it there by accident because it wasn't about anything serious. I think I was simply introducing myself or something along those lines :-) Maybe they did that to make me feel good for an hour. I think it worked too :-)

Coco:  I see you have written over 100 posts, and still have not had a featured post.  I know what that is like... and it can be very frustrating.  If you wish, I would be glad to take a look at some of your past posts, and give you some ideas on how to get a featured post ?

Pat,

When you are featured, you get a gold star next to your name.

Coco,

Don't plan on anything fantastic this week...they're launching Localism...and unless you come up with something out of this world...don't count on it.

You have to write something that no one else has addressed...and that's tough...100,000+ member's and two year's and heaven know's how many posts...I've written 444...you have to be creative.

I like your post, pic of the mountain and I to would like to have a featured post. Do you this if I have a positive attitude, I will get a featured blog?

I get 10 times more comments when I complain and or try to ruffle the feathers of AR members.

I was lucky enough to get a featured post in one of my groups but not on AR.  I too would love to have one.  In the meantime, I would like to put two more homes in escrow in the next two weeks.

Coco,

Congrats on reaching your goal. I spent about an hour last night reading a good many of your blogs and for what it's worth, I thought a lot of them should have been featured. I've subscribed and look forward to your future writing on whatever subjects you come up with.

You have your wish!  You are now a featured blog on our Optimist Board!

I believe in the power of positive thinking, focus and imagination!

... And hard work!

Sometimes it is hard to figure. Some of my best posts have been featured. Some that I wrote thinking they should be featured were not. I have had a couple that were mainly weird photos that were featured.

Coco- You're on to something here ... a feature in one of the hot spots of AR (the Optimist group) ... AND... multiple comments from one of AR's own. That- plus you've earned a few new subscibers... I know I became one last week. Or was it the week before? hmmm time flies. :-)

I keep reading comments here in the rain how so many blogs worthy of being featured never make it, yet quite a number of blogs by popular members get featured even when the content is just normal unimportant stuff.  I've read quite a number of featured blog that left me wondering why they were featured.  What criteria is used?  If I have to be boring and stupid to get featured (I think I can qualify for that)...nuff said!

CoCo, I'm sure by now you have reached your GOAL of Featured Blog,  I just thought I would share that today at 11:15 am, I created my Active Rain Blog Site, and by 3:00 p.m. I had moved my blog to a feature site for the City of Tarpon Springs! yahoo!  Now my goal will be to move it up in the ranks of Florida. P.S. The Pictures you are inserting are beautiful and awe inspiring thank you
