When Things Look Dark

What do you do when things look bleak?  Do you eat more and gain weight?  Do find yourself paralyzed with fear and indecision?   Or do you view it as an opportunity to learn and grow?  Do you turn potential negatives into prize winning positives?  Sounds great doesn't it?  Why don't they teach that class in High School?  Life Skills 101 - What to do when things aren't working out.

The truth is there is bound to be a little rain fall in every life.  If you feel like you're stuck in a torrential down pour - take heart, the sun will shine again.  History is full of stories of people surviving the worst circumstances only to rise triumphant due to the things they learned in the heart of their difficulties.  Challenge yourself to find the silver lining.  Ask your brain to find the strength and the lesson in your circumstances.  If you look for the positive I guarantee you will find something worthwile!

I would have to say that High school is to teach future employees how to fit in a cubicle and do work. They have no interest in creativeness from entrepreneurs or students that want to think for themselves. The best thing i did for my youngest, is when he was a Freshman, I let him take a computer course at the college in the afternoon...he loved it. By his Senior year he was going to the college only and graduated High School and finished half a college degree the same year. Life skills 101 would already be a college course. High schools put out classes like...Baby care 95....My son had to where a 20 lbs bag around his stomach so he could know what it is like to feel pregnant...that way he can feel sorry he put his future wife through that I guess. When I complained to the school about it...they (teachers) started harassing him. The best thing is...they graduated from High School, learned to figure things out for themselves, and are doing well....and they have been more positive than I have ever seen...and they help keep me positive. Thanks for the reminder....

Good advice Coco.  If we do not grow as we grow we will be left behind.
