When have you been the most successful in your life? What were you doing, thinking and feeling? I find that most of the time when we are really successful it is because we made up our minds absolutely about something that was absolutely non-negotiable. It became so clear and powerful in our minds that there was nothing that could stop us.
So when we met adversity we barely noticed it, our minds were set on solving the problem, not the problem. Isn't that true?
I have a friend who is the mother of a son diagnosed with autism. She made up her mind that she was going to do everything she could for her son to help him to have a happy and productive life. She was determined, she had leverage, she was unstoppable. When people told her, "You can't do that." She didn't listen and she found a way. When people told her, "That's not possible." She didn't listen, she simply made it happen. She separated what she had control over - which was her actions, the type and amount of therapy her son got, how she behaved around her son and what her son ingested. And she let go of the things she didn't have control of - whether her son would ever speak, have friends, be toilet trained or attend a normal school. She let go of all of that so she could have the energy and courage to take all of the action that she was capable of taking. Two years later, her son is speaking, attends a regular pre-school, is toilet trained and has many friends. When we take action and let go of the results we live room for great things to happen.
You can apply these principles to your life - Make a decision and get some powerful leverage on it. Then get into action mode and let go of the results! Miracles abound.

Coco - thank you. Without getting too personal, your words struck a familiar chord with me, and I'm re-energized from hearing them!
Jenn,
My positive thoughts are with you. Miracles do abound.
