Our Interesting Times

There is an ancient Chinese proverb that says something along the lines of "May you live in interesting times." I am a firm believer in looking for the positive.  To be positive let's admit that we are indeed living in interesting times.   You can choose to look at the glass as half full or half empty. I look at the glass as overflowing right now - with so many possibilities out there.

We've just been through our state primary, interesting times no matter what your political preference.  We are watching the Fed as they make  all kinds of moves to  attempt to bolster the economy and encourage growth.  Predictions will be wildly tossed about, but in the end, what will be, will be.  No one has a crystal ball.  Those who tell you with certainty what will happen are as unknowing as the rest of us are.  So in these interesting times, what is the best action to take?

I always subscribe to the theory that value is value.  Sure, prices will go up and prices will go down, but if you purchase something that clearly has value that can never change.  And depending on your personal plans and where you want to be in the next five and ten years will play a huge part in the decisions you make and the loans you choose and the locations you choose to purchase in.

I agree with you. Value is not always based on money.

Buyers need to buy because they need a home always with the investment as a secondary thought.

Hi Coco,

You are absolutely right that if you purchase something with value you will always have something with value.  Some clients just don't get that, so it is our job to educate them.
