In honor of Thanksgiving, I am taking extra time this week to be grateful for all of the wonderful things that I enjoy in my life. I have the time to be grateful, because I have Virtual Assistants. What's a Virtual Assistant you ask? A Virtual Assistant (VA for short) is someone who assists you from another work site, frequently their own home. They can assist you with everything from research, to proof reading documents, to creating handmade invitations, the possibilities are endless. If you don't already have a VA I'd like to share with you my top ten reasons why you should get one today:
1. You should never waste your valuable time doing tasks that you don't like, especially when you can easily pay someone who does enjoy it to do it for you.
2. You should never waste valuable time worrying about looming deadlines or uncompleted tasks when you can easily have a VA complete the work for you.
3. Good Karma - chances are you'll be hiring someone who needs the work and can use the money.
4. You'll be strengthening the economy by giving someone a job.
5. Having a Virtual Assistant is a great way to stay current with technology and trends. VAs can bring a wealth of knowledge to your business.
6. With the time you save having virtuals do work you don't want to do you can have more time to do the work that you do like.
7. Having a Virtual can increase your work output, allowing your business to grow faster.
8. Clearing your desk of unfinished work will unclog your creative juices and allow you to develop new ideas and business plans.
9. Completing tasks on time will reduce your stress, which is good for your health and your business.
10. Knowing that you have a Virtual to provide with work will help you to be organized and forward thinking about upcoming tasks and goals.
Invest in a virtual today; they can be a great tool to create the success you so richly deserve.

Coco, I need a VA. Do you use one? Can you recommend how/where to start? I always thought of my computer and handhelds as my virtual assistants; never thought of venturing out.
If you can share some links, that would be fabulous! (I promise to be thankful)

Gail!
I use Virtuals all the time. I use a service called Motherhood Incoporated. They are California based but I believe they use Virtuals from all over the World. Take a look at their website www.motherhoodincorporated.com When I have a job that I want to give to a virtual I call them and they find the perfect VA for the job. They can also give you suggestions about how to use a VA effectively. Good Luck!
Coco
David,
I have been using VAs for quite a while. I can't speak for everyone else, but I don't have time to oversee my VAs. So I use a service that I have been very happy with. They oversee the VAs for me, I get my work on or before deadline and done properly. I know other people that have hired VA's on their own and have had both good and bad experiences. I just know that this is what has been effective for me. Thanks for reading my blog. Good Luck in the Virtual World, it's definately a time saver.

Coco~ Thank you so much for your endorsement of virtual assistants. It goes a very long way in spreading the word, and I agree with your point about a partnership with a VA being a win, win for both. Best of Luck!
Ps. If you ever need a VA on a more permanent basis, we have a very strong base of real estate specialized VA's here on AR.
Laura,
Thanks for the info,- I have been using motherhoodincorportated.com and been thrilled, but I will keep you guys in mind.
